Dr. Virginia Hisghman, PhD, LAc is a diplomate in Acupuncture (NCCAOM) and has practiced Oriental Medicine since 1998 in both clinical and university settings. With more than 20 years of clinical practice, Dr. Hisghman specializes in the integration of acupuncture with auricular medicine, botanicals, herbology, electromedicine, and oriental bodywork therapies. She was certified with the American Oriental Bodywork Therapy Association in 1997 (AOBTA) in Zen Shiatsu and Tuina. She has extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Traditional Japanese Medicine and completed post graduate training in Europe and Japan. Dr. Hisghman was awarded an NIH fellowship and completed her doctorate at the University of Virginia in the Center for the Study of Complementary and Alternative Studies (CSCAT). Her research interests include alternative therapy research design and methodologies, sleep issues and the use of auricular medicine in the reduction of stress. She is a certified trainer for the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) and offers training for Acudetox Specialists (ADS) throughout the USA. Dr. Hisghman is a Master Gardner and enjoys spending time with family and friends in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia.

Christopher Kazepis, MAOM, LAc graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry in 2009. He completed a four year Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Daoist Traditions College of Oriental Medicine in Asheville, NC where he continues as an adjunct faculty member supervising students in the clinic. While completing his Master’s degree, he simultaneously studied with The Healing Tao and became a Healing Tao Associate Instructor. After graduation he moved back home to Winchester, VA to practice acupuncture. He has also been teaching as a Science and Special Education teacher in Loudoun County Public Schools. Christopher is a devoted student of Taoist Internal Alchemy and enjoys teaching these powerful embodiment practices to family, friends and patients. Other interests include hiking, bellyaking, gardening, frequenting Virginia vineyards and leading travel groups abroad.
